Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 20, 2026

Sthiroot Private Limited ("Sthiroot", "we", "us") operates the Jeeya mobile application and related admin services (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

By creating an account or using Jeeya, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

1.2 Health and fitness information

To build and adjust your nutrition plan, we collect information you provide directly:

With your device permission, we also read:

You log meals by taking or uploading a food photo, or typing a description. Food photos are stored securely (see §3) and, where you use the camera/photo-analysis feature, the photo or description is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic, depending on configuration) solely to estimate the food items and their nutrition, it is not used by that provider to train their models under our agreements with them.

If you add a food that is not in our food list, Jeeya can work it out with AI and save it to a shared food list. Only the food's name and its nutrition values are saved. They are not linked to your name or account, and every Jeeya user can then find that food.

1.3 Payment information

On iPhone, subscriptions are bought through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment and never shares your Apple ID or payment method with us. Apple sends us a signed record of the purchase (product, transaction reference, renewal and expiry dates, and whether it auto-renews), which we store to manage your subscription. On Android and the web, payments are processed by Razorpay. We never receive or store your card, UPI, or bank account details. Razorpay handles that directly and shares back only a payment/order reference ID, amount, and status, which we store to manage your subscription.

1.4 Device and diagnostic information

We use Sentry for crash and error reporting, which may automatically collect device model, OS version, app version, IP address, and technical logs at the moment of an error, to help us fix bugs.

1.5 Health reports you upload

You can choose to add a health report, such as a blood test, a lab report, or a health or fitness report made by another app, device or platform (for example a body-composition report from BodyPedia or a smart scale), as a PDF or a photo. A PDF can be up to 20 pages. This is optional, it is available with a paid subscription, and we only do it when you start it. Before we read a report you enter its date and confirm that it is your own report. You cannot add a report that belongs to someone else. We check the name, sex and age on the report against your profile to help with this.

3. Where your data is stored and who we share it with

Your permission for AI: the first time you use a feature that sends your information to an AI provider (food photo analysis, a food description, plan building, personalised tips or a health report), Jeeya shows you a screen that names the providers and what is sent, and asks for your permission. If you choose "Not now", nothing is sent and you can still log food by searching. You can turn AI features off or on at any time in Profile, under AI features. We keep a record of your choice on your account.

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with the service providers above as necessary to operate Jeeya, and, if required, with law enforcement or regulators where legally compelled.

Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside India. Where that happens, we require our providers to maintain appropriate safeguards for your data.

4. Data retention

We keep your account and health data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see §6).

Health reports: your saved report results are kept until you delete that report or your account. The uploaded file itself is not kept. Details from a report that you started but did not save are not used for your plan, and they are removed when you add another report or delete your account.

5. Security

Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text). Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

6. Your rights and choices

7. Children's privacy

Jeeya is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above, and, where required, we'll notify you in-app.
